Hot Dogs Down Northwestern for Second Straight Victory

Frankfort won its second consecutive contest by defeating Northwestern 53-38 on December 22, at Case Arena.

Doug Wood brought a huge spark off the bench with 14 points and was a key contributor on many defensive stops. Blake Ayers also scored 14 points and Deacon Spencer added 13.

The win improved the Hot Dogs to 4-3.

In the JV game, Kye Kirby had 20 points to lead FHS to a 71-47 victory. Eli Oldham and Kris Russell added 13 points apiece. FHS is now 5-2.

On December 20, the Hot Dogs built a 16-point halftime lead and held for a 49-43 victory over Western in Russiaville.

Ayers led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points. Riley Goodnight tallied 11, while Spencer and Jayce Strode each had 10.

Rossville Falls to Carroll

Damon Shaw had 14 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in a 45-42 loss to Carroll on December 22 in Flora.

Jesse Cornell added 13 points for the Hornets, which trailed 28-16 at halftime.

Rossville Girls Beaten by Sheridan

Avery Gobett had eight points and eight rebounds in a 42-34 loss on Saturday at Sheridan.

Kennedy Houser had five points and a team-high 11 rebounds for Rossville, 3-7. Emma Lawson also had eight rebounds for the Hornets.

Clinton Central Goes 1-2 in Tipton Tournament

Clinton Central fell to 6-7 on the season following a 53-47 loss to Southwestern Wednesday in the Tipton Holiday Tournament.

Kendall Davison had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Sara Parkison was next with 12 points and Sam Adams had nine.

Central opened the tournament Tuesday with a 67-53 loss to Tipton. Davison had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Parkison was next with 12 points and Adams added 11.

In the second game of the day, Davison had 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 49-34 victory over Western Boone. Adams added 14 points and nine rebounds.
