Hot Dogs Post Impressive Scores In Faceoff With West Lafayette & McCutcheon

The Frankfort Hot Dogs golf team narrowly closed the gap against McCutcheon, slightly falling short and securing a third-place finish during a three-way faceoff Thursday night.

Amidst threats of rainy weather, few spectators, soggy grounds and an unfamiliar part of the course, the Hot Dogs maintained their resolve to grant West Lafayette and McCutcheon a close and competive match that resulted in the Hot Dogs placing third. West Lafayette rose above its competition, securing a score of 155, which was led by Grant Bauman with a 2 under par 34. McCutcheon secured second in the three-way match with a score of 175, only edging out the Hot Dogs by two points as the Hot Dogs settled into third with a score of 177.

The Hot Dogs saw multiple impressive performances during the match with Dylan Garrison leading the team with a strong performance where he secured a score of 39. The score was padded by Xavier McIntosh with a score of 42, Charlie Beardsley with a score of 43, Jackson Ray with a score of 44, Harrison Kiger with a score of 51, Kaleb Compton with a score of 52, Luke Beardsley with a score of 54, Garek Birge with a score of 55 and Treye Seward with a score of 62.

The Hot Dogs will travel to Rocky Ridge on Saturday for the conference championship tournament, marking the final Sagamore Conference event of the season for the golf team.
