The Hot Dog golf team rounded out their regular season of play with a trip to Green Acres Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon against the Tigers.
The Hot Dogs were edged out with a final score of 152 to 164, but coaches Mike Kelley and Tim McKinzie expressed their pride in the performance of the Hot Dogs as they saw the Hot Dogs thrive in the environment despite the final score.
“We continually tell them the opponent is the course not the individual,” Kelley wrote.
Contributing to the outstanding performance on Tuesday afternoon were Charlie Beardsley with a score of 39, Luke Beardsley with a score of 40, Xavier McIntosh with a score of 41 and Garek Birge with a score of 43. The scores for the Hot Dogs were rounded out by Jackson Ray with 44, Harrison Kiger with 44, Dylan Garrison with 50 and Kaleb Compton with 55.
The Hot Dogs will host the Clinton County Boys Golf Tournament on Tuesday, May 28 at the Frankfort Commons. The first group will tee off at 8:45 a.m.
