The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that a temporary closure on the Interstate 65 northbound exit ramp at State Road 38, or exit 168, near Dayton is expected to occur next week.
The department stated that beginning on or after Monday, July 8, crews are expected to close the ramp to restore the pavement. The restoring of pavement on the southbound exit ramp was recently completed as crews transition into preparations to close the northbound ramp.
The official detour around the closure will include traveling to State Road 26 to Veterans Memorial Parkway to State Road 38.
The department issued a statement encouraging drivers to utilize caution throughout the area surrounding the work zone and find an alternate route around the construction as no through traffic will be allowed.
