I-69 Widening Work Wrapping Up

Inside INdiana Business is reporting the Indiana Department of Transportation says a third lane in each direction on a busy section of I-69 will reopen Friday morning. The stretch between State Road 37 and State Road 38 is part of a $92 million project that also involved reconfiguring the Campus Parkway exit into a double-crossover diamond formation. The latter was completed in the summer.

Additional work, including a new auxiliary lane between the 116th Street entrance ramp to I-69 South and the I-69 South exit ramp to 106th Street, is expected to continue through the spring.

Separate work will be launched next year and continue through at least 2019 involving third lanes between State Road 38 and State Road 109, as well as pavement, bridge and drainage rehabilitation or replacement between State Road 38 and State Road 67.
