Illinois Males Arrested for Two Firearms and Marijuana

On Monday, September 28, a Deputy with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 65 for a moving violation.  During the investigation, Deputies searched the vehicle and located two firearms and marijuana.

Arrested were 27-year-old Malcolm Joseph of Aurora, IL, for Possession of Marijuana and Felon in Possession of a Handgun; and 25-year-old Trevon Hawkins of Chicago for Possession of Marijuana.

“Exceptional work by Deputies!  More guns taken off our roadways and out of the hands of a convicted felon!!!  Well Done!” said Clinton County Sheriff Rich Kelly,

Deputies were assisted on scene by one of their K9s.

Official charges are pending from the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
