The Indiana Association of School Business Officials is proud to announce that Scott Weltz, Assistant Superintendent of Finance at the Community Schools of Frankfort, has successfully completed the rigorous requirements of the Indiana ASBO Certification Program, earning the distinguished designation of Chief Business Officer (CBO).
“On behalf of the IASBO Board of Directors, I am pleased to recognize Scott Weltz for this significant professional accomplishment,” said Dr. Scott Bowling, Executive Director of IASBO. “The Chief Business Officer certification reflects a deep commitment to excellence in school finance and operations, and Scott’s achievement highlights both his expertise and dedication to serving students and communities.”
The CBO certification requires the completion of 102 hours of specialized instruction focused on key areas of school business management, including finance, operations, and leadership. This designation recognizes individuals who demonstrate a high level of professional knowledge, experience, and ethical standards within the field.
IASBO established its Certification Program to formally acknowledge the professional achievements of its members. To qualify, candidates must maintain active IASBO membership and meet comprehensive personal, ethical, and professional criteria established by the organization.
Weltz’s accomplishment underscores his leadership and commitment to sound fiscal stewardship in education. His work continues to positively impact the students, staff, and community of the Community Schools of Frankfort.
