Indianapolis Man Driving Without Tire Arrested for OWI

At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Trooper Millburg was patrolling Interstate 74 near the 20-mile marker. Trooper Millburg observed a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix traveling eastbound, missing one of its tires and traveling on the rim. Trooper Millburg stopped the Pontiac for speeding and a registration violation. The driver was later identified as Anthony Hayes, 39, from Indianapolis.

While speaking with Hayes, Trooper Millburg observed signs that criminal activity might be afoot and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search of the Pontiac, Trooper Millburg located suspected marijuana.
