INDOT Announces Four Infrastructure Projects to Begin

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that several infrastructure projects in the area will begin on or after Monday, April 2, weather permitting.

A bridge replacement project on the State Road 26 Bridge over Wildcat Creek will restrict traffic to one 10-foot lane. Traffic will be controlled at the bridge with a traffic signal. The bridge should be opened back to two lanes of traffic in November of this year.

State Road 39 in Boone County will close to replace a small structure just over 4.5 miles south of I-65. The roadway is scheduled to reopen at the end of June.

County Road 1000 West or County Line Road Bridge over I-65 will close. The contractor will be replacing the bridge deck and the closure is scheduled to last for 60 days.

A resurfacing project on U.S. 52 in Tippecanoe County will begin. This project includes patching and resurfacing on U.S. 52 from South 30th Street in Lafayette to East County Road 900 South, approximately seven miles southeast of Lafayette. The northern section of U.S. 52 in Lafayette will be resurfaced with asphalt. The southern portion spanning from just north of County Road 500 East to County Road 900 South will be concrete work. This work is scheduled for completion by the end of September of this year.
