INDOT Deploys Trucks Ahead of Winter Weather

The Crawfordsville District has our yellow salt trucks deployed in western Indiana where snow has begun falling. We will continue sending plow trucks out this afternoon for snow-fighting activities. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) reminds motorists to be cautious while traveling this weekend.

The National Weather Service is predicting approximately 2-4 inches of snow Friday night into Saturday morning around central Indiana. Our District will have 158 trucks available as maintenance crews continue to plow and treat the roadways during this snow event this weekend.

Current pavement temperatures are between 14 and 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Expected hazards are slick roads and reduced visibility in heavy snowfall.
