A Frankfort Police Department investigation led to the arrest and preliminary charges for possession of child exploitative materials for a Frankfort man, police say.
Early Wednesday morning on May 15, Frankfort Police Department Detective Joshua Danner reportedly concluded a lengthy investigation that resulted in the arrest of Brandon Sloan, 40, of Frankfort in Boone County with the assistance of the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department. According to police, officers, detectives and the crime scene investigator simultaneously served a search warrant in the 400 block of North Crescent Court this morning where evidence was uncovered related to Sloan.
Officers reported that Sloan was transported to Frankfort and booked into the Clinton County Jail on three county of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 Felony. Official charges will be filed by the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office after a review of the case and the evidence compiled by the detectives.
The investigation was launched due to a cyber tip transferred by Indiana Crimes Against Children, which is the state and federal task force formed to investigate child exploitation, sex trafficking and child solicitation.
The Frankfort Police Department released a reminder that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
