Daniel Neufelder, FACHE, president of Indiana University Health Arnett and the West Central Region, announced his intention to retire. Neufelder joined IU Health in May of 2018 and has led the extended growth of the healthcare organization while demonstrating a true commitment to improving the health of all Hoosiers.
Neufelder began his extensive career in the industry as a healthcare management consultant and auditor with Ernst & Young. For the last 31 years, he has either served as a chief executive officer or senior vice president for nationally recognized integrated healthcare systems, including Ministry Health Care, Memorial Health System in South Bend, Community Health Network and St. Vincent Health System in Indianapolis.
Neufelder is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors, a certified public accountant and a certified executive coach. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Indiana and a master’s degree from the University of Indianapolis.
Neufelder and his wife of 40 years, Jane reside in Fishers. Both look forward to spending more with their daughter Laura, her husband Jarred and their grandchildren Preston and Emma.
Neufelder’ s official retirement date is set for September 2021. A search is underway to fill his position and conduct a smooth transition.
