Ivy Tech Community College has named Sejal Vaishnav as Chief Information Officer (CIO). She will start her new role on Monday, March 30.
Vaishnav will have responsibility for technology strategy, operations, cybersecurity, data, and digital transformation across Ivy Tech’s 19 campuses and more than 40 sites, ensuring technology enhances the student and employee experience across the College.
She most recently served as CIO at Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech) in Chicago. Vaishnav has more than two decades of higher education technology leadership experience, spanning enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, analytics, AI enabled
process redesign and service delivery.
“Sejal is an experienced technology leader who understands the complexity of a multi-campus environment. We are thrilled to have her join our team and shape our technology to meet the evolving needs of our institution,” said Ivy Tech President Marty Pollio.
Previously, Vaishnav was associate chief information officer for Enterprise Solutions and director for Information Technology and Audio-Visual Services, as well as holding other technology leadership roles at Illinois Institute of Technology since joining the institution in 2003.

Vaishnav holds master’s degrees in business administration and computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology in Surat, India.
Vaishnav replaces Thomas Riebe, who served as Interim CIO since January and will return to his role as Chief Technology Officer.
