Ivy Tech Partners with Independent Colleges of Indiana

Inside INdiana Business is reporting that the Independent Colleges of Indiana and Ivy Tech Community College have announced a new partnership. Ivy Tech says it will work with the 30 ICI colleges and universities to create transfer pathways, new programs and dual admissions for students.

The partnership has created dual admissions agreements between the University of Evansville and Ivy Tech Evansville. Any Ivy Tech student may complete their first two years at Ivy Tech and the last two at UE and are assigned advisors from both institutions. Students utilizing this program would be eligible for an exlusive scholarship, as well as the right to join clubs and use facilities at the university.

A pre-engineering program will also be avalible to students at Ivy Tech Valparaiso as part of the agreement. The pre-engineering program qualifies students for automatic acceptance into Valparaiso University’s engineering program. These students also can participate in student activities on both campuses.

Ivy Tech Columbus also has agreements to transfer students to Trine University, and Marian University and Ivy Tech Central Indiana will allow students to use all the credits from their first two years at Ivy Tech towards a psychology or business bachelor’s degree.
