Ivy Tech Partners With Marian University

Inside INdiana Business is reporting that Ivy Tech Community College has partnered with Marian University on a statewide reverse transfer agreement. The partnership will allow students who transferred to Marian before graduating from Ivy Tech the opportunity to earn an associate degree.

Ivy Tech Vice President for Academic Affairs Russ Baker says, “Ivy Tech is proud of this new partnership with Marian University to help Indianapolis students earn their associate degree. This will provide them the opportunity to have a credential while advancing their undergraduate degree.”

Students will need to meet certain eligibility standards:

  • Must have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours from Ivy Tech
  • Must be a currently enrolled Marian undergraduate
  • Have no prior degree from Ivy Tech
  • Meet all admission requirements for Marian, including attainment of at least a 2.0 GPA from Ivy Tech

Students will be notified each semester of potential eligibility, after attaining 75 or more credit hours. Marian University will submit all transcripts from eligible students for degree auditing. Ivy Tech has partnered with several other schools to offer reverse transfer, including USI, ISU, Purdue, and many others.
