J.D. Perry, 76, Lebanon, was welcomed to his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon. He was born July 1, 1945, in Westmoreland, TN to Floyd and Aleen (Graves) Perry. He married the love of his life Patricia “Pat” McCoy on June 21, 1968, and she survives.
He was a 1964 graduate of Rossville High School and received his Associate Degree in Engineering Electronics in 1967 from Valparaiso Technical Institute. He served in the United States Air Force from 1968-1974. He worked several places over his life, including Bell Telephone Laboratories, Union Carbide, and Acetylene Products where he worked in international sales of cutting equipment and traveled extensively. He retired from Praxair in 2011. He was a member of Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed golfing and listening to and collecting old country music.
Along with his wife of 53 years, J.D. is survived by his brothers, Jack Perry and Arnold (Nina) Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Betty Perry.
Visitation will be held, Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2-5pm, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 7 at 12pm at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Carter will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Clinton County Honor Guard.
