Jack D. Heimbach, 74, of rural Kirklin, died at 6:53 a.m. September 5, 2018 at Franciscan Health East, Lafayette, Ind. He was born April 19, 1944 in Frankfort, Ind. to the late Paul L. & Audra L. (McQuern) Heimbach. He married Pamela D. Blubaugh on July 2, 1966 and she survives.
Jack was in the first class to graduate from Clinton Prairie High School in 1962 and was a lifetime resident of Clinton County. He retired from the Frankfort Police Department in 1988 and served as Assistant Chief for 4 years under Chief Paul Underwood. He also worked for Oliver Trucking and Dahmen Trucking and helped on the Bill McQuern Farm. Jack attended Scotland Church and was a member of the F.O.P. He loved his family, church family, enjoyed motorcycling, riding horses and camping in Brown County. He enjoyed his daily Pepsi fountain drink, listening to Elvis on CD and watching NASCAR on TV. He will be missed by his family, friends and especially his kitten, Theodore.
He is survived by his wife: Pam Heimbach of rural Kirklin, daughter: Cheryl (Tony) Martin of rural Kirklin, son: Brad (Erica) Heimbach of West Point, Ind., brother: Jerry Heimbach of Frankfort, 3 Grandchildren, Caleb Martin, Zach Heimbach and Hannah Heimbach.
Funeral Services:
Private family graveside services will be held. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.
