James Andrew Reed, 64, Rossville, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Lafayette to Owen and Dellene (Bonderson) Reed. He married Marquita “Markie” Easterly McCracken on April 21, 2022.
James was a 1976 graduate of Rossville High School. He worked many jobs over the years, including National Homes, Kayco, construction, Frito Lay, and Wal-Mart. He was a member of Eagles Lodge #976. He enjoyed working around the house, fishing, listening to music and sitting around the bonfire with friends and family.
Along with his wife, James is survived by his mother; siblings, Jon (Donna Williams) Reed, Joe (Rosa) Reed and Tina Meyer; stepchildren, Ben (Angie) McCracken and Seth McCracken; step grandchildren, Jordan, Kaleb, and Hanna; step-great grandchild, Wesley; and nieces and nephews, Michael, Kayla, Laken, Megan, Monica, Fernando, Venessa, Cody, Miranda, and Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 12-2pm at Genda Funeral Home ~ Rossville Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3pm, Thursday at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
