James Dixon Hankins 80, of Frankfort died at February 4, 2022 at I.U Health Arnett, Lafayette. He was born January 15, 1942 in Hopkins County, Kentucky to James Hampton & Ovel (Sisk) Hankins. He married Patricia Louise Weber on March 18, 1972 and she preceded him in death on October 28, 2020.
James was a 1960 graduate of Dalton High School and attended Western, Kentucky for 3 years. He worked for Link Belt in customer service, retiring in 2000. James enjoyed gardening, playing golf, bowling and tennis.
James is survived by 2 sons: Robert Hampton Hankins of Frankfort and Jeffrey Allen Hankins of Frankfort, 2 sisters: Aretta (Eugene) Dickerson of Madisonville, KY, Freda Doster of Madisonville, KY, and 1 Grandchild, Amelia Hankins.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Juanetta Ford and Jeanette Markos and an infant brother, Allan Hankins.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 12 Noon-2 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Clinton County Cancer Fund.
