James D. Lewis, 76, a Frankfort resident, died at 6:15 p.m. July 23, 2018 at Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette, Indiana. He was born January 17, 1942 in Wabash County, Ind. to Galen & Georgia (Stevens) Lewis.
He attended Lagro High School in Wabash County and lived in Frankfort since 1973. A veteran of the U.S. Marines. Jim retired from Unarco Rohn. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Indiana Sherriff’s Association. He enjoyed reading, history, watching college basketball, gardening, walking, loved to fish and was active with the friends of Bill W.
Family: 2 Daughters: Debbie Black and Lisa Spray both of Frankfort, 2 Sisters: Janice Swaim and Judy Bradford both of Florida, 8 Grandchildren, Vince (Nikki) Clear, Trevor (Darien Grice) Clear, Kyle Forman, Jacob Boyd, Kayla (Issac Kirkman) Clear, Laken (Kirk) Howe, Nikki Forman and Savanna Boyd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Lewis and a brother, Steve Lewis.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 27th in Center Grove Cemetery in Wabash County, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to the Lewis family to help with final expenses.
