James E. Baker, 86, of Frankfort, died March 29, 2021 at Clinton House. He was born June 26, 1934 in Frankfort, Ind. to F. Lee & Inez (Ehresman) Baker.
Jim was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended Purdue University. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard and Air Force. Prior to retiring as an electrician at General Motors in Kokomo, he worked for Public Service in Denver, Colorado. His memberships include, Moose Lodge, American Legion and was a former member of the Eagles Lodge all in Frankfort. Jim was an avid woodworker and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his daughter: Suanna S. (Tom) Marinko of rural Rossville, 2 sons: Christian L. Baker of San Diego, CA and Kelly J. Baker of Frankfort, 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kallner
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Jim will be honored with Military Rites at 4 p.m. Out of respect for the health, safety, and comfort of all in attendance, guests will be expected to adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.
