James F. Neal, 91, of rural Frankfort, died March 29, 2022 at Witham Hospital, Lebanon.  He was born February 15, 1931 in Clinton County to Harold S. & Mary Marjorie (Woods) Neal.  He married Caryl Grice on September 17, 1950 and she preceded him in death on August 14, 1997.  He then married Helen Janette (Davis) Ne Camp on May 22, 1999 and she preceded him in death on April 18, 2018.

Jim was a 1950 graduate of Jackson Township High School and a lifelong Clinton County resident. He was a farmer, retiring in 1997.  Jim was a member of the Antioch Church, a 50 years member of O.E.S. #534, member of the Kirklin Masonic Lodge #443 and a member of the Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite in Indianapolis.  He loved watching his grandchildren and enjoyed the company of his beloved dog, Maggie.

Surviving are his Sons: H. Steven (Jennifer) Neal of Kirklin and David M. (Melody) Neal of Frankfort; Daughter: Joycelyn Neal of Frankfort; Step-Children: Harriet (Marc) Carey and Jim Ed (Jana) Kirk both of Kentucky; Sister: Barbara Stillwell of rural Frankfort; 15 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren with 2 Great-Great Grandchildren on the way.  In addition to his parents and spouses, he was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Charles A. Neal, daughter-in-law, Barbara Neal, brothers, Russell & Joseph Neal.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street, Frankfort.  Friends may visit 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Antioch Church, 4625 South State Rd. 39, Frankfort, IN  46041.  Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may leave a message for the family.
