James E. Gascho, 66, of Battle Ground, formerly of Cutler, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born February 10, 1953 in Frankfort to Edwin and Doris Sue (Wagoner) Gascho. He was a 1971 graduate of Delphi High School. He married, Marletta Miller on March 6, 1976, she survives.
James was a hard worker and loved farming. Though he never owned an acre, he worked on several farms during his lifetime, with the most recent farm being with Purdue University’s Animal Science Research Farm (ASREC). His love for farming was only surpassed by the love he had for his wife, his daughters, and his two grandsons.
Along with his wife, James is survived by his daughters, Krista (Michael) Keim of Remington and Kenlyn (Joshua) Cadwallader of Lafayette; a sister, Carmen Hood of Brookville, OH; and two grandsons, Jaxson and Rutledge Cadwallader.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Gascho.
Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019 from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel. Pastor Jeff Mikels will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
