James L. “Jim” Bailey, 83, of Kokomo, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home. He was born in Richmond on October 1, 1937 to Donald and Lois (Appleton) Bailey. He married Rexanne Kinderman on January 19, 1996; she survives.
Jim attended Richmond High School. He worked as an electrician for 30 years for IBEW Local 873 where he was also a member. He was a rodeo pickup man and enjoyed tending to his goats and chickens. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids.
Surviving with his wife, Rexanne, are his daughters, Stephanie Buechel of Lafayette, Elaina (husband Nick) Smith of Covington, and Randi Wecht (Nick Lieberman) of Logansport; sisters, Joanna Halteman of WA and Peggy Bailey of Richmond; grandchildren, Austin, Lynsee, Taylor, Sydni, Kaden, Kody, Charles, and Caroline; and great grandchild, Brilyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Bailey; and brother, Danny Bailey.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with the arrangements.
