James Lipp

James Lipp, 92, of Indianapolis, IN, died peacefully February 8, 2021 at Venetian Gardens Care Center, Loveland, Ohio.  He was born October 13, 1928 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Otis Earl & Margaret May (Johnson) Lipp.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War as the unit mail clerk.  He said it was the best assignment ever because everyone was always happy to see him come around with news from home.    He worked for Stokely-Van Kamp (later owned by Pepsi) for his entire career as a credit manager retiring in 1993.   He was actively involved in the Indiana Youth Bowling Association for decades so much so a youth scholarship was named in honor of him and his (deceased) wife Doris recognizing their years of service and dedication.

He was a devoted fan of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever and was a season ticket holder for each team for many years.  He loved cars and was a loyal Ford/Mercury man especially enjoying the Lincoln Town Car.  He shared his life with various canine companions with each dog having a special place in his heart.

Family:

Jim is survived by his daughter, Robin Toulouse (Michael) of Indianapolis and son, Jeff Lipp (Kelly) of Loveland, OH.  He was a loving grandfather to Benjamin, Molly, & Elizabeth Lipp.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M.
