Janet E. Rader, 83, of Frankfort, died March 6, 2025 at home with her family by her side. She was born September 10, 1941 in Wawpecong, IN to Raymond & Alma Gertrude (Smith) Sharp. She married Robert L. Rader on August 15, 1970 at the Kirklin Christian Church and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2017.
Janet grew up in Miami County area and was a 1959 graduate of Clay Township. She moved to Frankfort after her marriage to Robert and then moved to Branson in 1988. She was a bookkeeper and owned The Hillbilly Inn in Branson, MO, retiring in 2004 and moved to Florida. Janet had previously attended the First Baptist Church in Frankfort. She enjoyed crafts, spending time with her grandchildren and loved her pets.
Janet is survived by a son, Randy Rader of Frankfort, daughters, Sandy Rader of Midwest City, OK and Debbie (Jim) Crick of Bradenton, FL, daughter-in-law, Pam Rader of Clermont, FL, 7 grandchildren, Tiffany Rader of Florida, Nikki (Josh) Pettit of Frankfort, Christopher Rader of Lebanon, BreAnda Patrie of Connelly Springs, NC, Jason Crick, Jenna Crick of Clinton County and Derek Crick of Florida, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary Rader, daughter-in-law, Robin Rader, 2 brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon – 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
