Janet Sue Kyle, 85, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Signature Health Care at Parkwood in Lebanon. She was born in Frankfort on December 21, 1936, to Mable Robbins. Her first marriage was to Herbert Hill on February 8, 1958, until his passing on July 17, 1973. She then married Robert “Red” Kyle on February 14, 2004, until his passing on April 13, 2011.
Janet was a 1955 graduate of Frankfort High School. She had worked for the National Cigar Company, and retired in 2000 after 18 years of service, from the Clinton County Hospital and Clinton County Board of Health. She enjoyed traveling with her husband “Red”, shopping, walking, and spending time with her family and was a member of the Cool Lake Golf Club.
Janet is survived by her daughter, LaDawna “Dawn” (Philip) Cormany of Frankfort; grandchildren, Amanda “Mandi” (Preston) Smith of Michigantown and Ashley (Samuel) Kreps of New Albany, Ohio; great granddaughter, Jordyn Smith; and great grandsons, Jenson and Jaidyn Smith and Liam and Remington Kreps.
In addition to her husbands and mother, Janet is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Robin Hill; brothers, Gwendolph, Martin, Dale, and Jerry Robbins; and sisters, Ruth Williams and Phyllis Robbins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Karl Kercheval will officiate. Burial will follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery.
