Jean E. Wolf, 102, of Rossville, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Franciscan Health in Lafayette. She was born in Frankfort on November 21, 1918 to Charles and Luella (Pedigo) Weidner, Sr. She married Roscoe F. Wolf on January 17, 1941 in Mulberry; he preceded her in death on August 29, 2005.
Jean was a life-long resident of Clinton County. She grew up in Frankfort and moved to Mulberry in 1922. She graduated from Mulberry High School in 1936. In 1941 she moved to Rossville where she lived the remainder of her life.
She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Rossville. She was a clerk at the Mulberry Post Office for five years and worked at Hamm’s Grocery Store in Rossville for four years. She and her husband, Roscoe, owned and operated Rossville Automatic Laundry, Inc. for 34 years. They also ran a laundromat in Frankfort for 18 years. Jean enjoyed fishing, sewing, and seeing to the needs of her family.
Jean is survived by her children, James R. Wolf (fiancé Rena) of South Carolina, Jerry Lee Wolf (wife Julie) of Westfield, and Toni Jean Bluemke (husband Daniel) of Rossville; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Weidner, Jr; her daughter-in-law, Kay Wolf; and her grandson, Sean Wolf.
