Jeff Hardesty, 61, died December 30, 2025

He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Martha Hardesty, in-laws Bud and Betty Dircks, and sister in law, Beth Hardesty.

After obtaining his bachelors and masters degrees in Agriculture Education from Purdue University, Jeff owned and managed Hardesty Landscaping for 30 years.

In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff lived life to the fullest and cherished his relationships with family, friends, and his church family deeply. Whether it was a grand adventure to Disney World, an evening ballroom dancing, aweekend camping trip, an afternoon at the lake, or simply enjoying time together at home, Jeff’s greatest earthly joys were his wife, children and grandchildren…and ice cream.

He served as an elder at First Evangelical Presbyterian for many years and could often be found worshiping Jesus through song or the many instruments he played. As a life long Boilermaker, he loved returning to Purdue for football tailgates and the annual PMO Christmas show.

He was a prayerful, faithful man whose ultimate desire was to see everyone develop a relationship with Jesus.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 3 beginning with a visitation at 10am and a service at 11am. Lunch will be provided afterwards. The family invites you to wear Purdue colors or attire to honor Jeff.
