Jeffrey R. Dieterle, 70, of Delphi, passed away unexpectedly on Monday-January 18, 2021 at 12:55 p.m. at IU Health Arnett Hospital ER in Lafayette. He was born November 26, 1950 in Frankfort, to the late John & Mary Clendenning Dieterle. His marriage was to Devonna K. Cunningham Castle in Frankfort, on April 8, 1989, and she survives. He was a 1969 graduate of Frankfort High School. He worked for 30 years at ALCOA in Lafayette, retiring in 2007. Jeff was an avid golfer, and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. He liked to brew custom beer, go canoeing on Deer Creek where he lived, watching the Chicago White Sox, and just loved to spend time with his family. He and his wife enjoyed traveling the U.S. with their 5th wheel camper. He was a member of the Carroll County Country Club in Delphi, and the Son’s of the American Legion of Delphi. He also collected and restored vintage juke box and classic arcade game machines. He loved his loyal dog Henry. Surviving: wife-Devonna K. Dieterle of Delphi; his children: Todd & Angie Castle of Frankfort, Rachel King & Cody Hill of Frankfort, Sarah Dieterle of Frankfort, Andy & Kaity Dieterle of Frankfort; sister-Judy Chapman of Indianapolis; 9 grandchildren & 1 great grandson survive. Preceded in death by a brother John E. Dieterle Jr. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will take place at a later date.
