Jerry V. Fields

Jerry V. Fields, 75, a former longtime Clinton County resident, died August 29, 2021 at Northwest Health Porter Hospital, Valparaiso, Ind.  He moved to Valparaiso over 10 years ago.  He was born March 23, 1946 in Frankfort to the late Edgar & Rebecca (Weaver) Fields.  He married Linda Jackson on February 14, 1965 at Normanda Christian Church and she survives.

Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Clinton Central High School with his high school sweetheart, Linda.  He had worked in finance and sales for Ray Rudd and A & M John Deere Farm Center, retiring November 30, 2016.  He was a former member of the Kempton Masonic Lodge and an honorary member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.

He is survived by his wife:  Linda Fields of Valparaiso, son:  Todd (Michele) Fields of Fuquay-Varina, NC, 2 daughters:  Kimberly Fields (Mark) Maxwell of Valparaiso, Amy Fields Bolen of Valparaiso, 2 sons of his heart:  David Lee Duke of El Cajon, CA,  Tore Pederson of Norway, 4 sisters:  Carolyn (Mack Trenary) McQuinn of Forest, Patsy (David) Avery of Michigantown, Norma Hillis of Michigantown, Barbara Catron of Frankfort, 1 brother:  Sam (Carolyn) Fields of Michigantown, brother-in-law:  Bob Swem of Forest, 9 grandchildren, Nicholas Fields, Anna Fields, Claire Fields of North Carolina, Courtney Maxwell (Aidan) Heinold of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kylee Maxwell (fiancé Jacob Hernandez), Cody Maxwell, Kaden Maxwell, Ashley Bolen and Maile Bolen of Valparaiso

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nancy Fields Swem, and three brothers-in-law, Bill McQuinn, Max Hillis, and Roy Catron.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m., officiated by Karl Kercheval, at the funeral home.
