Jerry Wayne “Catfish” Hill, 74, of Frankfort, passed away July 26, 2020 at IU Health Frankfort Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1946 in Frankfort to Ennis and Edna (James) Hill. He married Sharon L. Mckinniss on November 20, 1970 and she survives.
Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Clinton Central High School and was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Marines. He worked for Bloom’s Broom and several years at General Battery and later Exide Battery in Frankfort. He said he was a Jack of all trades and master on none. He was a 20 year member of the Frankfort Bass Casters and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and golfing with his son.
Surviving along with his wife, Sharon are his Son: Anthony Hill of Frankfort; Daughters: Julia Maxine Hill of Colorado and Christie Lynn (Mike) Hastings of Colorado; Grandchildren: Sheradan Ann Hill, Michael Hastings, Courtny Hastings, and Catie Hastings. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. The family asks that in accordance with guidelines, visitors maintain social distancing and that a mask be worn. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.
