John David Scott, 70, of Frankfort, Ind., passed away May 28, 2025 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on August 29, 1954 in Lee County, Virginia to Oscar Scott and Mabel (Cottrell) Scott Davis. He married Donna Jean “Jeannie” Gleason on October 13, 1973 in Frankfort and she survives.
A lifelong Frankfort resident, David attended Frankfort Schools and earned his GED. He worked as a customer assistant in the lawn & garden department at Walmart. He was a member of Heart of Fire Church. David was a hard worker, generous to a fault, and had a heart of gold, always putting his family first. He was the epitome of a man taking care of his family.
Surviving along with his wife, Jeannie, are his children, Gena (Jason) Carson, Amanda Scott, Kellie (William) Gorman, and Jordan Scott, his siblings, Melvin Scott, Vinnie Hinkle, Jerlene Diaz, Linda Parks, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a beloved nephew William Junior Scott, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, William, Ken, Lonnie and Fred Scott, Lori Bridgeman, and his beloved nephew, John Henry Scott.
