John Edward Pearson

John Edward Pearson, 77, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Mulberry Health.

John was born June 18, 1940, in Colburn, to the late Edward Lee and Viola May (Stroup) Pearson.  John grew up in Logansport before moving to Frankfort, in 1988.  John served in the United States Army.  Throughout his life, John worked for J.C. Penny in Logansport for 18 years, as a custodian at Delphi Schools for four years, and retired from Frankfort Middle School as part of their custodial staff.  John was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed golfing, gambling, deer hunting, and playing Santa Claus.

Surviving John are his long-time companion, Claudette Rodkey, of Frankfort, and her children, Julie (Jerry) Suite, Sheryl Crabtree, and Rick Warnecke; children, Todd Gross, of Monticello, and Sandra Pearson, of San Diego; brother, Richard (Donnetta) Pearson, of Delphi; sister, Sylvia Gross, of Monticello; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren including special great-granddaughter, Kaedyn Suite; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews including special niece, Tina (Roger) Pettiner.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by one son, Michael Pearson; three sisters, Bonnie Crook, Evelene Griffey, and Mary Helen Lively.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 9:30 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Ed Selvidge will officiate.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
