Johnny Lee Ashley, 42, of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at IU Frankfort Hospital. He was born June 17, 1979, in Frankfort, to Herschel Ashley and Debbie Davis.
Johnny attended Frankfort High School. He loved art, music, shooting hoops with Nyla, playing with Roslyn, and in general, he just loved spending time with his family. Johnny was known for being funny, carefree, charismatic, humble, a gentleman, and had a sarcastic view on life.
Johnny is survived by his father, Herschel; mother, Debbie; son, Chase Ashley (fiancé, Carly Mosson) of Frankfort; daughter, Loren Ashley of Frankfort, sister, Crystal (Michael) Earl of Michigantown; and grandchildren, Nyla, Roslyn, and Knox.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, James and Patty Ashley; maternal grandfather, Jack Lee Davis; maternal step-father, Phillip Davis; maternal step-grandfather, Joe Banter; aunt, Delpha Ashley Thomas; uncle, Bobby Davis; and a cousin, Benjamin Ashley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 12 noon until 3pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
