A Frankfort landmark is closing at the end of the year. Johnny V’s owner, John Virtue made the announcement on Facebook Saturday night:
I have an announcement to make. December 31 will be the last day of business for Johnny V’s Main St. Grille. A lot of thought went into this decision to close the restaurant. I believe my daughter Heather and I have made the best decision for both of us. While the restaurant is still profitable, It has become nearly impossible to staff the restaurant properly with the current labor shortages we are dealing with. All of our employees have been offered jobs at Pepes and Greeks. It’s been a pleasure serving Frankfort for these last 14 years and we look forward to further serving everyone at Pepe’s and Greeks for many years to come. We will be offering a limited menu of some of Johnny V‘s favorites that everyone has enjoyed over the years at Pepe’s. It is our hope that someone someday buys the restaurant and takes it to greater heights than it has ever been. We look forward to seeing our friends and customers these next 3 weeks before we close.
