Johny “John” Wheeler 83, of Frankfort, passed away March 26, 2026 at Milner Community Healthcare, Rossville, IN. He was born September 19, 1942 in Menifee County, KY to Lemon & Opal (Richardson) Wheeler. He married Betty Kathleen Harris on July 24, 1961 and she survives.
John worked in maintenance for a vending company for 40 years. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
John is survived by his wife, Betty of Frankfort, siblings, Tom (Linda) Wheeler of Lima, OH, Judy Thomas, of KY, Fern Woosley and Kathy Toy, all of Owensville, KY, Linda (Bobby) Patton of Mt. Sterling, KY, Brenda Stroub of Seymour, IN, 5 grandchildren, Ashlee Moore, Kolton (Callie) Martin, both of Frankfort, Cody Wheeler of Manson, Collin Wheeler and Emily Wheeler, both of Rossville, and 2 great-grandchildren, Beckham & Quenton Martin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Martin, son, John A. Wheeler, and brothers, Murrel, David, Ronnie & Chester Wheeler.
Burial will be in Bunnell at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society or Clinton County Cancer Fund. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
