Joseph “Joe” Nelson Millikan

Joseph “Joe” Nelson Millikan, 77, of Frankfort, passed away May 13, 2020 in his home.  He was born on April 27, 1943.  He was raised by Wilbur and Gladys (Cain) Millikan O’Rear.  He married Patricia Everman on August 18, 1961 in Kokomo and she survives.

Joe was a 1961 graduate of Sheridan High School.  He worked for Chrysler in Kokomo for 37 years and earned his apprenticeship as a tool & die maker while there. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge #7, Eagles Lodge Aerie 765 both in Frankfort and the Lebanon Elks Lodge.  Joe loved yard sales and auctions, going to the casino, collecting St. Clair glass and he enjoyed raising Tom Till tomatoes and giving them away

Surviving along with his wife, Patricia are his Daughters: Tammy Rene (Ronnie) McDaniel, Penny JoAnne Horton, and Jennifer Diana (Gary) Petty all of Frankfort; Brothers: Niles (Joan) Millikan of Noblesville; Sister-in-law: Phyllis Millikan of Frankfort; Grandchildren:  Justin, Reno, Alicia, Brandon, Cory, Danielle, Olivia, and Nathan; 11 Great Grandchildren; along with several Nieces, Nephews, extended family, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, and brother: Mitchell Millikan.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort.  Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin will follow.  Rev. Mark Mowery will officiate.  Friends may visit Noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.  Following the guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be allowing up to 25 people in the funeral home at a time.  We appreciate your cooperation and patience.  When you arrive at the funeral home, staff members will provide direction.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe’s honor to the Moose Lodge #7, 2880 E.
