Joyce Ann (Suits) Brenton

Day & Genda Funeral Home

Joyce Ann Brenton, 78, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at Milner Health in Rossville.   She was born on May 11, 1947, to Robert and Gladys (Owens) Suits.  She married David Brenton on July 24, 1965.  He preceded her in passing on April 15, 2017.

Joyce was a graduate of Frankfort High School, class of 1965.  She worked several jobs over her years, including babysitting, a CNA and QMA at Clinton House, and caregiver with Abilities Services Inc.  She was a member of the Homemakers Extension Network and Woodside Christian Church, where they got married.  She enjoyed reading, watching movies, playing with technology (though technology didn’t love her), and taking care of animals.  She was an active lady that enjoyed travelling and going on adventures.  Her heart for taking care of and giving to others made her loved by all that knew her.  Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren that she took pride in spoiling.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Mark) Bender of Frankfort, Dana (Brad) Ping of Kingman, and Becci (Joshua Howe) Hill of Kirklin; sister, Carolyn Jarrell of Frankfort; grandchildren, Jessica (Charlie) Hedrick, Elizabeth (Bill) Allen, Kevin (Jessica) Cripe, and Sarah (Caleb) Wortman; and nine great grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Amanda Lock and Owen Suits; and granddaughter, Erin Faith Ping.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Entombment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
