Julia Mae “Judy” Miller

Julia Mae “Judy” Miller, 94, of Lebanon, Ind., passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.  She was born on August 31, 1929 in Clinton County to Carl and Helen (Cline) McKinsey and was a lifelong resident of the area.  She married the love of her life, William C. Miller on June 3, 1961 and together they built a life filled with love and laughter, he preceded her in death on June 12, 2005.

Judy was a proud Jackson Township Cardinal, graduating with the Class of 1947.  A dedicated homemaker, she devoted her life to nurturing her large and loving family.  She raised seven children and was grandmother to 13, a great-grandmother to 25, and a great-great-grandmother to 4, with more on the way.  Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing every moment spent with her family and friends. An avid sports fan, Judy enjoyed watching Purdue Women’s Basketball and the Chicago Cubs.  She relished the opportunities to cheer on her favorite teams and share these moments with her family.  Judy also spent several years living in Naples, Florida, fulfilling her dream of residing in the Sunshine State.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, Indiana.

Surviving are her Sons: Barry (Bev) Miller of Rossville, Rick (Judy) Ryan of Speedway, and Bruce (Marcia) Ryan of Colfax; Daughters: Lori Ann Miller (Kathy Heuer) of Hamilton and Melissa Jane Miller of Hamilton; Brother: Richard McKinsey of Indianapolis; 13 Grandchildren; 25 Great-Grandchildren;  and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren; along with her nieces and nephew.  Judy’s husband, Bill, and two of her children, Byron Lynn Miller and Tina Sue Haynes, preceded her in death, along with her parents and a granddaughter: Tonya Lynn Banker.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street, Frankfort.  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Noon at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort.  Memorial donations may be made in Julia’s honor to the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, 201 S.
