Karen “Connie” Chandler

Karen “Connie” Chandler, 74, of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Wesley Manor in Frankfort.  She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 20, 1946 to Eugene and Elaine (Kleisch Baumann) Conway.  She married William “Bill” Chandler on January 13, 1967; he preceded her in death on August 24, 2015.

Connie graduated from Saint Scholastica High School in Chicago.  She had worked as a teller for LaSalle Bank & Trust before working as the office manager at ALM Systems.  She was a cards and board games enthusiast and enjoyed playing the slot machines.  She was witty, fun-loving, and loved her dogs.

Connie is survived by her son, Scott (wife Valerie) Chandler of Schaumburg, Illinois; her granddaughter, Madison “Maddie” Chandler; her step-grandchildren, Melanie and Jesse Mena and Vivian and Esteban Santana; her brother-in-law, Charles (wife Wilma) Chandler; her sisters-in-law, Naomi Large, Carol (husband Bob) Bower, Esther Roberts, Kathy (husband, Jerry) Wise, and Sharon (husband, Ed) Spray; her loving niece and caretaker, Gia Spaulding; and other loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers-in-law, Paul Large and Ray Roberts; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy (husband Gene) Spaulding and Susan (husband Jack) Northern.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm EST at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. The funeral service will begin at 4:30 p.m. EST at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Spaulding officiating.  The funeral service will be live-streamed and may be viewed at www.gendafuneralhome.com.  Burial will be on Tuesday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m. CST in All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, Illinois.

In adherence to the current CDC guidelines, it is requested that guests follow the appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.
