Karen Larimore

Karen Larimore, 80, of Kirklin passed away March 24, 2020 at Mulberry Health.  She was born at home in the Cyclone community on December 18, 1939 to Lawrence R. and Geraldine (Blacker) Vandevender.  She married the love of her life, Bill Larimore, in 1961 and he survives.

Karen was involved in 4H and showed Red Poll Cattle with her family for many years.  She was a 1957 Kirklin High School graduate.  She began working in 1957 at Clinton County Bank and Trust and retired in 1997 as Vice President of Chase Bank.

Karen was a member of Zonta, Ducks Unlimited, and United Way, where she was campaign chair.  She was the first woman President of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce and started a local Red Hat Society chapter, which was enjoyable to several local ladies.  She enjoyed traveling to Cincinnati to watch her Cincinnati Reds.  She loved planting beautiful flowers and trees on her property and she and Bill provided several nesting boxes for blue birds and monitored them closely.

Surviving along with her husband Bill are her Sister: Joyce (Leon) Jordan; Nieces: Stephanie (Andy) Davison and Cari (Kyle) Kirkendall; Great-Niece and Nephews: Cole, Alex, Logan and Natalie all of Frankfort.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center and Clinton County Crematory, 501 E.
