Keith Owen Grubel, 72, formerly of Rossville, passed away at his residence in Bloomingdale, Wednesday, July 29, 2020. He was born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on February 23, 1948 to John Owen and Anna (Lawhead) Grubel. On May 8, 1970, he married Suzanna Henney and she passed away on September 4, 1995.
After graduating from Mohawk High School, Keith continued his education and received an Associate degree in electronics. He worked as a field technician at Bystronic Inc. He was a faith-based man and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette. He was a prankster who enjoyed hunting, trying new foods, and woodworking, especially making wooden bowls. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Keith is survived by his son, Jacob (wife, Amy) Grubel of Lafayette; daughter, Aimee Grubel (fiancé, Rick Mayfield) of Brooklyn, New York; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emma, and Ethan; and sister, Beth McVicker of Michigan.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis Grubel and Doug Grubel.
A private family memorial service will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. The service will be available for viewing at www.gendafuneralhome.com on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
