Kenneth Eugene “Ken” Synesael, 69, of Mulberry, Indiana passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023, at Mulberry Health and Retirement. Kenneth was born on October 23, 1954, to Donald and Marlene (Brown) Synesael in Danville, Illinois. He was the oldest of five siblings who he remained close with throughout his life. Ken married the love of his life Barbara Mann, on December 4, 2004.
Ken was a graduate of Seeger High School. He worked at SIA in Lafayette for 25 years. Ken was an avid outdoorsman for his entire life. He spent countless hours in the woods hunting and especially enjoyed days on end on the water fishing. Ken competitively bass fished for a number of years and won many tournaments with some of his best friends. He was never one to turn down an opportunity to hit the water. Ken was an avid Purdue Boilermaker and Indianapolis Colts fan. Kenneth also valued his relationship with the Lord and was a member of the Mulberry Methodist Church. He formed long lasting friendships with other members of the Church through regular service and a mission trip to Haiti.
He is preceded in death by his father Donald.
Along with his wife of 19 years, Ken is survived by his stepdaughter Taylor (Trevor) Talbott of Frankfort; mother, Marlene Synesael of West Lebanon; siblings, Kathy (Ardie)Kilgore of Cayuga,
Kim (Jeff) Larson of Attica, Kerry (Tiff) Synesael of Attica, Konnie (Debbie Hentgen) Synesael of Lafayette; grandchild, Tripp Talbott; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 1pm until 4pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11am at the funeral home. Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth’s honor to the charity of your choice.
