Kentucky Man Arrested for Carrying Handgun Without License

Around 9 p.m. Thursday, Clinton County Sheriff Deputies were patrolling on I-65. Deputy Black initiated a traffic stop on a blue Nissan Altima traveling north on I-65 at the 159mm. During the encounter, a loaded handgun was located inside of a vest worn by the driver.

The driver, Devonte Adams, 25, of Radcliff Kentucky, was arrested on charges of carrying a handgun without a license. Official charges are pending from the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office. Subject is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputy Pelling assisted on scene.

“I commend Deputy Black for his due diligence in protecting our community,” said Clinton County Sheriff Rich Kelly. “Our sheriff deputies work feverishly taking calls and proactively policing Clinton County to promote a safer environment for all of our citizens. This is the third firearm taken off our roadways this evening.”
