Kevin Duane Downs

We are heartbroken to announce Kevin Duane Downs, 44, of Indianapolis, formally Frankfort, unexpectedly passed away and entered into eternal life on July 7, 2022.

Kevin and his bright blue eyes entered into this world to the loving arms of  his parents Leland and Carole Downs (Cook) on July 9, 1977,  in Frankfort, IN. Kevin referred to his parents as his biggest fans and supporters, and the ones whom loved him unconditionally under any and all circumstances. Kevin maintained a close, loving and fun relationship with his parents until their deaths in 2018 and 2019.

Kevin married Teresa Downs (Brown) in 1999 and raised their three surviving children Andrew Bates, Felicia (LaDerrick) Willams, and Tabatha Harrison. Kevin joins in death their oldest daughter Samantha Harrison, whom passed in 2017. As a proud grandfather, Kevin leaves behind 13 grandchildren. Just like his parents, Kevin was the biggest fan of his children and grandchildren referring to them as his pride and joy. Kevin showed pictures of his grandchildren any chance he had.

Kevin enjoyed many things like woodworking, writing poems, and music, while watching basketball with his father was something Kevin always cherished. Kevin truly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Jokes and laughter with Kevin brought joy to many. Kevin was known for his big heart and wanted anyone who crossed paths with him to know he was always a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on without any judgment.

Also surviving Kevin are his sisters: Tina Downs, Victoria Bradford, and Kimberly Schneidt and brothers: Lewis Myers and Ron Creasy.

Preceding Kevin in death are his parents, daughter, girlfriend, Samantha Wray, and dear friend, Andrea Stinson.
