Healthy Communities is partnering with several youth organizations around Clinton County to promote Kick Butts Day! Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against tobacco. There are several events coming up within March.
On March 19 at 8 a.m., the Frankfort SADD group will be putting up Cups in a Fence that show anti-tobacco statements at Frankfort High School. The cups will be in the east side fence of the tennis courts facing the student parking lot. These messages will be up until March 23. They will also be doing a Point of Sale Scavenger Hunt on March 21 at 8 a.m. at the Admiral Gas Station and the Family Dollar! Snacks and prizes will be provided by Healthy Communities for youth.
On March 21 at 3 p.m., The IMPACT Youth Group in Mulberry will be doing a Billions of Butts clean-up down the main strip of Mulberry. This event educates youth about the impact of tobacco and our environment! This is the same event we did with Suncrest last year at Circle Park.
