Kirklin Community Easter Egg Hunt

Story contributor Pamela Clements
The Kirklin Hoosier 4-H Club along with The Kirklin Volunteer Fire and EMS sponsored the annual community Easter Egg Hunt. It was held April 20, 2019 at the Kirklin Town Park. Almost 100 children ranging from zero to twelve braved the chilly damp morning for over 3000 eggs. There were plenty for everyone. There were 2 Golden Eggs per age group that received a large basket of goodies. Door prize tickets were handed out in treat bags which many children won books, stuffed animals and other prizes. The Kirklin Park board allowed the use of the shelter houses and park. Sparky, the Fire Dog visited from Zionsville Fire Department was popular with the children and their families.A 20″ bicycle was given by the 4-H for the grand prize and was won by a first year participant that is 11 months old. Thank you again who came and participated and for braving the chill to make some family memories. Kirklin Hoosier 4-H leader, Pamela Clements , Assistant Leader Bethany Perlee
