Kokomo Male Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

SHAD STOUT

On July 24, investigators with the Howard County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received five CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) pertaining to Child Pornography/Child Exploitation.

The CyberTips were generated by Verizon and included 90+ files depicting child sexual abuse material. Through the investigation, it was determined that 32-year-old Shad W. Stout of Kokomo, Indiana was the Verizon user suspected of uploading the content.

On the morning of August 10th, a search warrant was obtained for the 2000 block South on 300 E. Kokomo. Investigators with the Howard County Sheriff’s Office were assisted by Investigators from the Kokomo Police Department and other ICAC affiliates. During the search, a variety of illegal substances and narcotics were located, along with numerous electronic devices which were seized from the residence. These devices were examined over the following week and were found to contain evidence of child sexual abuse material.

On August 18, Stout was taken into custody for 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Level 5 Felony (aggravating factor).
