At approximately 6:16 a.m. Thursday, officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to the area of Clinton and Kentucky Avenues on a 911 report of an unresponsive male subject in a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel located the victim, who was transported to Community Howard Regional Hospital for treatment. He was pronounced deceased at 6:43 a.m. by medical personnel. The victim was identified as Yogi J. Olivarez, age 45, of Galveston, Indiana. Notifications of family members have been made by the Howard County Coroner’s office.
This case is in the preliminary stages of investigation by the Kokomo Police Department Criminal Investigation Section and the Howard County Coroner’s office. An autopsy is scheduled on June 29, 2018. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Captain Teresa Galloway at (765) 456-7326.
